A Complaint About Jake This letter of complaint was dated 2001. It's quite a long time ago. When this first appeared on the site many people thought it was funny. But now we realize, as we get older that it's not really funny at all. It's good that we all have grown out of this sort of behavior. I'm keeping this page here for posterity. Jim, to whom the letter is addressed, was an assistant manager at Jubilee.

Hi Jim-
	I was in the store
earlier (one of my thousand
trips a day!)
	I was kinda upset
when I saw one of
the stock-boys (a Jake
I believe - tall-dark-haired)
following around a customer
(I believe the customer is
slow/retarded + works there
also)
	He was taking things
out of the man's cart,
laughing at him.

	I'm usually not
one to complain - I
guess the special ed
teacher in me was
bothered by it.

	I'm not trying to
get the stock-boy in
trouble - it just seems
like he probably could
have found some work
to keep him busy
instead of harassing
this guy-

In general - harassing him.
	I just felt really
bad for the man....
he didn't seem capable
of defending himself against
this stockboy-
	I told the stockboy
I would mention it to
you (2 other women had
also stopped to watch
what the stock-boy was
doing - they also seemed
upset by it)-
	I thought maybe someone
could let Jake know his
actions were not appropriate.
	Thanks
		Nancy
