GOOD TV GONE
Firefly. Deadwood. Veronica Mars. Rome. Wonderfalls. What do all these shows have in common? They're all great TV shows that got cancelled.

Network executives. What is wrong with you people? Why do you keep killing good TV? Why do you keep replacing good TV with drivel. America's Next Top Model? All those stupid cooking challenge shows? ZOMG, I really hate those cooking shows! Complete waste of time. They take two of the worst things about America and glamorize them. Violence and food. Srsly, the sad majority of the American public wants to see people getting screamed at while they cook. Or they want to watch CSI-type stories where the cops solve some hideous crime.

Each week those CSI type shows get more twisted. You can just imagine network executives sitting in a meeting with the writers. The conversation is something like:
Network Exec: "What if the mother was actually the father and he raped and stuffed the wife with live hamsters that were in turn stuffed with cocaine and then he tried to smuggle her dead body back to his native country so he could sell the cocaine to pay for a subscription to some scat porn site?!"

Writer: "wtf?!"

Network Exec: "Brilliant, I knew you'd like it! Have a rough draft to me by Wednesday!"
Maybe all the good shows get cancelled because networks have to cater to the largest audience. I'm not one for statistics and I won't even look this one up, so flame me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing most of the people who watch TV fall into a few broad categories: fat, stupid people; and stupid, fat people. Just to be clear, I'm neither.

Why is witty, thought provoking, dramatic, subtext-rich, good TV consistently cancelled? Because all those tub-o-lards want to laugh at crude jokes, non-stop slap-stick and oogle hot women. Well, ok, I like to oogle the hot women as well, but still, that's what the internet is for!
