Wow, living in Japan I had forgotten how many civil court shows there are on TV. There's the classic People's Court, Divorce Court, Night Court, Sex Court, and the list goes on. This month's rant is about the worst one of all, Judge Judy.

If you've never had the pleasure of seeing Judge Judy then let me tell you a little about her. Judge Judy, or as I like to call her, "Judge Bitch" is the crustiest old woman in the world. She bitches and carries on during each of the cases on her show. And by "bitch" I really mean "squawk" and "bark". She sounds kinda like a crow with it's nuts caught in a vice. Listening to her for longer than two seconds gives me a headache.

I wonder why she's so angry at the world. Well, come to think about it, if I were a crusty, withered, single, female lesbian judge then I'd probably act the same way too. I guess that's her appeal (no pun intended). You take one look and one listen to her and you feel better that you're not a barking 70 year old with a horrible hair color job.

Rahahahrhah hahra. No one in the courtroom is safe from her bark. I'm sure she practices barking in front of her mirror. I don't know whether it's an act or not but when I turned on the TV the other day and I saw her I couldn't believe that she was still on the air. I thought(hoped) surely she'd have either dropped dead or been cancelled by now!

Looking at America from an outsider's point of view after living in Japan so long, I'm wondering how the worst shows have remained on the air with the kind of ratings they have for so long. It's a sad reflection on our low brow society. **sigh**
