Every once in a while a very addicting game comes along. "Audiosurf" is my new addiction.
I was just randomly browsing YouTube and I came across a clip of someone playing it.
I did a little investigating and found that it turns out you can purchase it on Steam, which fortunately
I already have. (What is Steam?) I logged onto Steam and played the free
demo and that's all it took. I immediately bought it and even got a discount on it. It was only $4.95!
What a steal! You will pay more for a BigMac value meal and McDonald's.
The gameplay? Well it's kind of a superfast puzzle game, but synchronized to any audio you want. For the gameplay think Sonic the Hedgehog 2
when Sonic & Tails are running in the half pipes collecting rings
mixed with the in between level vortexes from Earthworm Jim 1.
This is me playing a little demo for you!
You can browse the computer and select any song you like into it. The program creates a custom level based on that song! Slower songs are
easier, faster songs harder. There are also different game play options. I personally like the two spaceship one, where
you can control one ship with the keyboard, and the other with the mouse. I'll bet that's fantastic for brain training and coordination training.
